Scholarship Registration for  2027

This is the registration form for scholarship players. It asks everything the ordinary form asks, and one thing more.

Every student accepted to the New Orleans Traditional Jazz Camp receives a full scholarship — tuition, lodging and meals, worth more than $2,750. There is nothing to pay, and nothing to ask for.

Some families have told us they would like to give something back. If yours is one of them, once your student has been accepted you are welcome to return part or all of the scholarship as a gift, and every dollar of it will bring another student to camp. It is entirely up to you: nobody will ask, and it has no bearing on who is accepted.

Step TwoWhich Camp, and What You Play

Tell us which week you'd like to attend, your preferred instrument choice while at camp, and your playing abilities in the areas indicated.

If you would like to attend both weeks, you can play a different instrument each week. Please contact us with that information.

Camp 1 runs June 13–18, with the optional Lagniappe Day on June 19. Camp 2 runs June 20–25, with the optional Lagniappe Day on June 26.
Both weeks teach the same program, you can decide which you would like to attend based on your schedule.
If you would like to attend both weeks, we will invoice you for two separate tuitions. The Saturday night hotel stay in between each week is not covered by either tuition and will be included on your invoice. You do not have to stay at the hotel for that in-between Saturday, but the hotel may not be able to offer you the same hotel room. Contact us if you would like to not stay at the hotel between camp weeks.

Scholarship applications are never wait-listed. Each one is read by our Scholarship Coordinator and decided by the Camp Director.

Both camps — Two weeks, two tuitions. A single continuous hotel stay.

Either — The camp will decide based on where your instrument is most needed.

We use this instrument to put you in a band.

Anything else you play

Check as many as you like. If your main instrument is full we will look here before we turn you away.

Are you a music educator?

A short paragraph is plenty.

A few sentences is plenty. Staff read every one.

Your Chaperone

Campers who will be under 18 when camp starts must come with an adult chaperone. Tell us who that will be. We will contact them before we confirm your place.

Optional, but it lets us write to them directly.
